CC-408 wild type mt+ C9

Comment: This is strain C8, probably equivalent to Sager's y1 mt- strain. It is thought to have been brought to Japan in 1959 by Tsubo, who acquired it from Sager in 1954. This strain has been used as a background for some mutant isolations and in physiological studies, particularly in Japan.
