Source: CC-118 was derived from a cross of wild type mt+ x sr-u-2-60 mt- (equivalent to CC-119)

Comment: This is an excellent chloroplast mutant, easy to score, resistant to up to 500 micrograms/ml streptomycin on agar (50-100 micrograms is sufficient to kill wild-type cells). The mutation is an A>C change at nt 474 in the 16S rRNA.
